Adult Autism Diagnostic Assessments

I work with adults who are wondering whether autism may be part of their life story, as well as those who are looking for a fresh perspective on their past assessment. My approach is collaborative and grounded in neurodiversity-affirming, evidence-based care.

What the process looks like

1. Free consultation

We’ll start with a free phone/video call to talk about what you’re looking for and see if this feels like a good fit.

2. Intake session

We’ll spend time learning about your life history - your experiences, strengths, challenges, and what’s bringing you to the assessment now. This 60-minute session can be completed in-person or via telehealth.

3. Testing sessions

You’ll be asked to complete a combination of structured measures and clinical interviews designed to assess for autism. The specific testing activities we choose will depend on your assessment goals. Most assessments include two testing sessions: one 3-hour session (in-person) and a second 30-60 minute session (in-person or via telehealth).

4. Feedback and written report

We’ll meet for a 60-minute feedback session (in-person or via telehealth) to go over the results, talk through recommendations, and discuss next steps. You’ll also receive a report a few weeks after the feedback session.

5. Follow-up support

I’m available for ongoing support after the assessment. These sessions can focus on specific goals related to your work, relationships, or daily life. Sessions can also be more supportive in nature and offer space to better understand your newly recognized autism and move forward with more clarity, confidence, and self-trust.

6. Fees

Assessments start at $4,000. The final cost will depend on the specific needs and goals of your assessment. I provide superbills that you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
